MORNING REGIME

Step 1: Facewash

Removing excess oils, dust, dirt, and pollutants from your face is essential. However, your face should not feel dry and stretched after face wash. You can wash your face a maximum of three times a day. Choose from the following options based on your skin type:

Step 2: Moisturiser

If your skin feels dry, Use a lightweight moisturizer to keep your skin hydrated without clogging pores. Apply La Roche-Posay Toleriane Double Repair Face Moisturizer which is specifically formulated with ceramides and Niacinamide to provide moisture and soothe the skin.

Step 3: Morning Treatment Product

Apply La Roche-Posay Mela B3 Serum has 10% Niacinamide that helps in reducing acne, inflammation and post acne pigmentation.

Step 4: Sunscreen

Using sunscreen is crucial, especially when using retinoids. Use a lightweight, non-comedogenic sunscreen. Apply La Roche Posay Anthelios UV Hydra Sunscreen SPF 50 thirty minutes before stepping out in the sun. It provides broad-spectrum protection while helping to control oil production.

NIGHT REGIME

Step 1: Micellar water

Remove makeup, impurities and pollutants on your face with micellar water rather than a cleansing lotion.

Step 2 and 3:

Same as morning.

Step 4: Night treatment product

Apply La Roche-Posay Effaclar Adapalene Gel 0.1% Acne Treatment, at night as well to continue treating acne by promoting cell turnover and preventing clogged pores. It is prescription-strength retinoid, to help prevent acne by increasing cell turnover and keeping pores clear. Use a pea-sized amount and apply it evenly over your face.

If your skin reacts to adaplene then, follow the steps list below:

  • Moisturize Sensitive Areas: Before applying adapalene gel, apply La Roche-Posay Toleriane Double Repair Face Moisturizer, to the entire face if your skin is dry or sensitive.
  • Apply Adapalene: Apply adapalene gel specifically to the areas affected by acne. Start with applying it on acne areas only.
  • Monitor Skin Reaction: If your skin tolerates it well without any adverse reactions, you can gradually increase the application. Apply adapalene to the entire face the next night.
  • Adjust Frequency: If your skin reacts (becomes dry, red, or irritated), reduce the frequency of adapalene application. Start applying it on alternate nights or even less frequently based on your skin’s tolerance.
  • Additional Moisturization: For areas that are particularly dry or reactive, you can apply 2-3 layers of moisturizer to soothe and hydrate the skin.

Step 5: Acne spot treatment

For stubborn acne that dont respond to above regime, use La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo Dual Action Acne Spot Treatment Cream. This treatment contains benzoyl peroxide to reduce inflammation and kill acne-causing bacteria. Apply it directly to affected areas.

WEEKLY REGIME

Avoid harsh scrubs or peels. Instead, you can use a gentle mask like La Roche-Posay Effaclar Clarifying Clay Face Mask once a week to help unclog pores and reduce excess oil. This mask contains sulfur, which helps to dry out acne and prevent future breakouts.

This regime is designed to effectively manage and treat acne while being gentle on your skin. For best results, use consistently and follow up with a dermatologist if you have any concerns.
