MORNING REGIME
Step 1: Facewash
Removing excess oils, dust, dirt, and pollutants from your face is essential. However, your face should not feel dry and stretched after face wash. You can wash your face a maximum of three times a day. Choose from the following options based on your skin type:
- Differin Acne Face Wash with 5% Benzoyl Peroxide for non-sensitive oily skin still breaking out.
- Differin Face Scrub Daily Brightening Exfoliator for normal skin type with tanning.
- Differin Facial Cleanser for sensitive dry to normal skin type, recommended if your skin gets over dry after using adaplene gel.
Step 2: Morning Treatment Product
Apply Differin Dark Spot Correcting Serum on the entire face. It has 4 % Niacinamide that helps reduce red scars due to its anti-inflammatory action and prevents new acne and brown spots.
Step 3: Acne scar spot treatment
Use Differin Acne Scar Gel as a spot treatment on areas red scars to fade redness. This is also plays pivotal role in preventing permanent depressed scars. If you have fresh depressed acne scars, then this gel might come handy. However, if your scars are older than 3 months, then your would need microneedling or LASERS as detailed in this article, 6 Type of acne scars and their treatment
Step 4: Sunscreen
Thick sunscreen can increase acne, so use a lightweight sunscreen in gel or fluid form. Re-apply it 30 minutes before stepping out in the sun. Avoid using sunscreen indoors to prevent unnecessary clogging of pores.
Differin Oil Absorbing Moisturizer with SPF 30 is weight sunscreens less likely to occlude your pores. Avoid heavy makeup or layering of products. You can apply lightweight makeup on top of the sunscreen.
NIGHT REGIME
Step 1: Micellar water
Remove makeup, impurities and pollutants on your face with micellar water rather than a cleansing lotion.
Step 2 and 3:
Same as morning.
Step 4: Night treatment product
Apply Differin acne treatment gel to reduce oil secretion, open pores, and acne. If your skin reacts to adaplene then, follow the steps list below:
- Moisturize Sensitive Areas: Before applying adapalene gel, apply Differin Night moisturizing cream to the entire face if your skin is dry or sensitive.
- Apply Adapalene: Apply adapalene gel specifically to the areas affected by acne. Start with applying it on acne areas only.
- Monitor Skin Reaction: If your skin tolerates it well without any adverse reactions, you can gradually increase the application. Apply adapalene to the entire face the next night.
- Adjust Frequency: If your skin reacts (becomes dry, red, or irritated), reduce the frequency of adapalene application. Start applying it on alternate nights or even less frequently based on your skin’s tolerance.
- Additional Moisturization: For areas that are particularly dry or reactive, you can apply 2-3 layers of moisturizer to soothe and hydrate the skin.
Step 5: Acne scar spot treatment
After applying retinol, use Differin Acne Scar Gel as a spot treatment on areas red scars to fade redness.
WEEKLY REGIME
Avoid harsh scrubs or peels. Instead, use COSRX Pink Pore Clarifying Charcoal Mask twice a week to soothe your skin and promote the healing of red scars.
