Step 4: Anti-acne Treatment Product
At night, use Adapalene for stubborn acne, such as red or pus-filled pimples, numerous blackheads, whiteheads, or frequent breakouts. It is prescription-strength retinoid, to help prevent acne by increasing cell turnover and keeping pores clear.
Apply a pea-sized amount of Adapalene Gel 0.1% at night evenly over your face. If your skin reacts to adaplene then, follow the steps list below:
- Before applying adapalene gel, apply moisturiser to the entire face.
- Apply adapalene gel specifically to the areas affected by acne.
- If your skin tolerates it well without any adverse reactions, you can gradually increase the application to the entire face the next night.
- If your skin reacts (becomes dry, red, or irritated), reduce the frequency of adapalene application. Start applying it on alternate nights or even less frequently based on your skin’s tolerance.
- Additional Moisturization: For areas that are particularly dry or reactive, you can apply 2-3 layers of moisturizer to soothe and hydrate the skin.
